Defining Sophistication for 200 Years. Located in rural Hunterdon County, surrounded by lush farmland, and preserved wilderness, this long-running culinary and hospitality icon started humbly as a stagecoach stop and grew into the one of the countries founding farm-to-table destinations. Upon acquisition, Landmark Hospitality made it a goal to preserve that long history and tradition, while continuing to grow its legend.

A decade long, tasteful yet intensive renovation of the properties multiple structures has restored the grounds to previous glory. Thoughtful repurposing of the original building materials allows the stored past of the property to be highlighted in the current design. The properties hospitality identity shares a similar linage connecting its past to the present. Warm inviting spaces staffed by a caring engaging team, create landmark moments for all – whether celebrating an intimate night out or a large celebration.

Renowned Executive Chef Chris Albrecht has elevated this culinary icon; maintaining the properties lush chefs garden; actively harvesting heirloom fruits, vegetables and herbs while continuing to pay homage to the kitchens long-storied history of excellence.

The posh, polished, and encyclopedically stocked Duck Bar occupies the space between the dramatic entrance and two serene dining rooms. Indulge in an expertly made cocktail or sip rare cognac. Our Wine Spectator award winning wine cellar is loaded with gems both current and well-aged.

The Ryland Inn, NJ’s most beloved restaurant, continues to welcome first time guests and longtime regulars to enjoy our warm hospitality, contemporary cuisine, and unparalleled service. Worth the special journey!
